About Us

My name is Matthew and I am the CEO and founder of First Century Thinking LLC. I am 33 years old, married with two boys. We currently reside in beautiful Southern Oregon. I recently graduated Southern Oregon University with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor business. Before school I served in the United States Navy for eight years as an Electronics Technician and as an Instructor.

I love developing and programming, evidenced by the many different projects within this site ; ). I created all these websites and applications, most in my spare time during school. My family helped with some of the graphics/color schemes. First Century Thinking LLC was formed in May of 2011, more for liability reasons than anything. But it also gives me a great jumping off point to expand if needed.

I consider myself more of a developer than a designer. I can take an idea and turn it into a reality, from setting up the server/databases/programming to the full front end UI, including page layouts and other Web2.0 techniques. I have the experience to create websites, desktop applications and DirectX games. This also includes the business side of things such as Marketing, SEO and Administration.

I have a little experience in just about every language, but I consider .Net my home. I have learned a lot in my years of programming and feel it’s time to start giving back!

Code Snippets is my personal development blog that will contain all the little tid-bits of programming knowledge I have gained over the years. This includes HTML/CSS techniques to full fledged modules I have created. I hope this will be of some help to fledgling developers such as myself.
